Does it have to be Samuel Jackson? Say it isn't so! But it is, in a commercial bordering on menacing--which, I guess, is the way they have to sell Barach Obama these days, complete with one of my favorite four letter words, is Samuel Jackson in support of the reelection of President Obama. What I didn't know was that Jackson is an idiot and a phony.
He criticizes Romney, "a millionaire"; only Jackson sounds like he is talking about a maggot. So, if it is wrong to be a millionaire, why, praytell, would Mr. Jackson be a millionaire one hundred and fifty times over? Why is it okay for Jackson to be a millionaire, but not Romney?
Judgement: Guilty of being an idiot and a phony.
And then there's Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts senatorial candidate, who falsely claimed to be of Cherokee descent when, in fact, her ancestors probably participated in driving the Cherokee off. Anyway, Ms. Warren profited off this phony claim repeatedly in her academic career--of course, academics rank high on the gullability scale when a minority or, in Ms. Warren's case, a fake minority comes in with a sob story.
In a previous column, I dubbed Ms. Warren as "Fibohontas". So, we have Fibohontas running around Massachusetts and at the podiom of the Democratic National Convention decrying the "corruption" and proclaiming the system is "rigged". When it comes to grassroots populism, Fibohontas is surely on the warpath.
I learned last week the Harvard Law School pays Fibohontas, a law professor (THAT explains alot) the princely sum of $349,000 a year for her professorial duties. She also collects a handsome benefit package from the revered institution. Doesn't that put her in the 1%?
We'll see if the "highly educated" Massachusetts voters are so sophisticated and worldy that they would elect a deceitful elitest to be their US Senator.
Judgement: Guilty of deceit and being a phony (unless she starts donating that 349k to, say, Occupy Wall Street, Code Pink, an ACORN clone or some other dreadful bunch).
A bronx cheer to the both of you.
